The project workshop, roads and bridges

To implement this technical complicated project, heavy machinery was needed for land development. To service this equipment a project workshop was established. The workshop staff further constructed rural roads and bridges, maintained all mechanical project equipment and provided transport facilities to the project staff.
This section also shows images of the serious floods which frequently occurred during the main rainy season. These floods caused considerable damage to the standing crop and to the irrigation structures and indicated major flaws in design and construction of the projects’ main drainage canal.
