The Sunday Express on November 21, 1976 carried as it main story: “Child’s Murder in Maryland County. Big Names Linked?”.

Three weeks earlier the dead body of a two and a half year old girl had been found in Pleebo District, Maryland County. The child, Darbeh Blamyonde, was found with her two ears off, eyes plucked out and the throat gone. Several suspects had been arrested. It was rumored that ‘big names’ were linked to this murder.
