Grossly speaking, the ritual murder cases reported below refer to the
2000 - 2013 period. However, research engines in those days weren't as
powerful as nowadays. Consequently, I do not pretend to have covered all
publications on the subject. In fact, I am sure I didn't. In 2018 I decided to cease reporting on ritual killings on this page.
Instead, new ritual murder cases in African countries have since been
published on a more general website

Killing In Africa. It is my intention to gradually transfer the older murder cases
presented below to this general site on ritual killings in Africa.
Unfortunately, at times this transfer is made impossible by the
disappearance of the link to the source, the newspaper report mentioned.
